Part 1: The Taking

In March 2022, Spanish authorities took our 7-year-old son from his horse-riding class without warning. One moment he was enjoying his lesson; the next, he was gone - plucked from his horse by officials who didn't properly identify themselves.The scene seems unimaginable: strangers approaching a child during his riding lesson, removing him without explanation. Yet this happened to our Carlos.They told our frightened boy they were taking him to "a better school." They lied.At first, we believed it must be a terrible mistake - something that would be quickly resolved. We had no idea then that this was just the beginning of a process that would keep our son from us for years.

Part 2: The Fight

For over two years, we’ve fought a maze of legal barriers and bureaucracy. Despite providing clear evidence of our loving home and Carlos’s progress in education and healing from earlier trauma, Rowena is permitted only occasional supervised visits with her son. Jonny, as a non-biological father, is denied any visits at all.The system meant to protect children has instead traumatized our son and torn apart our family. Through our journey, we've met countless other parents fighting similar battles.What began as our personal tragedy has revealed a darker truth - systems designed to protect children are instead profiting from family separation. We're not alone, but that makes it even more heartbreaking.

Part 3: The Movement

Here, through music and community, we're building a platform for change. Every performance, every gathering, every shared moment strengthens our voice and spreads awareness.We believe in truth, in fair process, in doing what's right. We're not just fighting for Carlos – we're fighting to expose a system that often seems to prioritise profit over children's well-being, a system that fails the very families it's meant to protect.Families deserve answers, children deserve safety, and no family should be torn apart by policies or practices driven by anything other than the best interests of the child.
